Genealogy

2014

The publication explores another type of genealogy between authors, which is neither a chronological or vertical transmission nor confined to the cultural criterion. Genealogy tries to draw parallels and echoes between the visual and narrative languages of the authors and highlights the aesthetic relationships that bring them together. It is the result of research on visual and narrative influences and the outcome of a long networking process.
Supervised by Barrack Rima, the publication spans 304 pages in color and black & white, measuring 23 cm x 30 cm. It is available in French, Arabic, Spanish, English, and German, with accompanying translation booklets. This project is made possible with the support of the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) and the French Institute of Beirut.
